Enough...

Enough is Enough and Sometimes It is Never Enough..

I have gone over my recently terminated relationship, which happened earlier this month and have discovered a few things. There was something wrong with the relationship that I could never put my finger on. Something just below the surface that kept morphing into different unhappy situations, which kept me thinking the problems were a multitude of issues. Then it hit me it's only one issue, I realized that I was not enough for this man. I do not mean this comment in a bad way towards him nor as a negative comment towards myself. Nor do I think less of myself because of this. I just wasn't enough, which isn't good for either of us. It's like Christmas--some people just never get enough of it.

This is why I believe he cultivated a relationship with another woman, no matter how innocent it may have been. It's still inappropriate when you are supposedly in a committed relationship with someone else and it harms your committed relationship. Sometimes innocent behavior is NOT suitable no matter the situation and IS harmful and mean even when you have no intention for it to be that way.

I believe that this issue has a lot to do with ego. This man just needed more. More people who liked him, more people who boosted his ego. More people impressed with him. More people to listen to him. More people for him to have contact. More people to see what he had to say and offer. And that's ok some people just need more.

Realizing that I was not enough helps me to look at myself and also at any future companion and to take notice when I am not enough. I believe that if you are in a committed relationship each of you should be enough for the other. It doesn't mean that the relationship still won't have issues or need work. It also doesn't mean you don't need additional friendships. I realize that there are additional friendships to be developed and enjoyed. These friendships should always be appropriate and let go immediately when they are not. If you have to hang on to a relationship and not be forthright and honest about it then the committed relationship needs to go. Hence mine did.

I do recognize that being apart from this man is best for both of us as I just wasn't enough for him. It doesn't make it any easier. My heart is quite torn as I cared very deeply for him. I have cried an ocean of tears and continue to do so. I only hope the eventual healing process for myself is healthy and thorough.

Does time really heal all wounds?? I really wish I didn't have to find out but this time I will. Enough is enough for me.

Colour Quiz...

Colour Quiz. -got this from How About Orange blog.

I am a Fire Personality, drawn to reds and oranges. I am vivacious, charming, passionate, tend to attract people, and do not shy away from attention. My emotions are strong and my moods shift quickly. Aren't I cute!! LOL

Interestingly enough I have neutral decorations with red pillows and a red blanket on the couch. Its just the right touch with colour.

Canceled Birthday...do not send any wishes...

Yesterday was my canceled birthday. It went well. I worked on moving things back into the extra bedroom in an orderly manner. I went to lunch with DD and mom. I really didn't want to go but went anyway. Personally I was quite ill all day long but that has to do with me being so sad. I tried to convince them to go on another day. They insisted. It made them happy. They enjoyed lunch and the waiter was fun.

I then spent the rest of the day watching movies. I just love Sense & Sensibility and Pride & Prejudice.

And life goes on. I miss you G and now I am the older.

The Renter...Day 52, 53...313,312...30day Ntc-26days...72 hr Ntc-24 hours...

The Renter quit spending the night at the home by Thursday night. No more whiny dog or smelly snakes or RUDE Renter. There was a slight communication error regarding moving things Friday night. I closed up the house at 9:30pm and went to bed, although, I left the garage and back gate unlocked expecting them to pick up the rest of their items. The Renter had the impression that they could not come onto the property anymore. That's not how a 72 hour notice works and you would think that they would have called and let me know that they were out front and there to remove the rest of their things. Whatever.

Saturday things were moved but since it was dark one of the movers copped out and didn't want to move the rest of the things in the dark. Whatever. The Renter did call this time and let me know that they would get everything Sunday morning at 9am and that they were hungry and going to eat. At least they remembered how to dial a cell phone this time.

Sunday everything was gone by approximately 10:30am. All Gone. Such a relief and a much more healthy situation. Even though The Renter went over the 72 Hours I was happy to have things moved so soon. Good thing The Renter didn't realize the 72 Hour Notice was a BIG Ole BLUFF (maybe). Had they called me on it I may have had to stick with the original 30 day notice. I should learn to play poker. I hear that is all about how well you bluff. Nah, better not push my luck.

The Renter Day 51...314 days...30 day Notice day 27...72 hr Notice- 48 hours...

Well, the 72 hour notice did the trick and lit a fire under The Renter. I swear they were going to stay forever or at least until the end of the 30 days. Why do people do that??? Don't answer, I realize there is no answer. Actually mom had the answer for me, its because it was more convenient for them to stay than making the effort to move.

The Renter went out early yesterday and obtained a new dwelling and began moving items. Yeah for both of us. A much more healthy situation. More upside--no more neurotic dog. No more rude renter. No more smelly snakes.

DD was funny and mentioned that since the room was already cleaned out I should advertise and take in another renter. That all renters are not like that. I just wanted to laugh hysterically. Instead I gave her "the look" and said no thanks I'd rather go broke than insane.

48 hours and counting!!!

The Renter...Day 50...315...30 day Notice -day 28... 72 hr Notice...

Where do I begin???

1. The Renter informs me once again AFTER the fact that I will be taking care of the dog during evening hours. No will you or could you because of...
WOW, the rudeness never ends.

2.My new-found discovery of a one-day notice in the rental agreement makes it necessary to inform The Renter that they need to move out and I also had to post a notice of 72 hours on their door. This was unpleasant and quite a shock to The Renter--me too. Who knew??? My bad. :)

3. I have had a migraine since Sunday and been sick to my stomach for quite awhile.

4. I have learned that I would rather swallow a box full of steel nails than have another renter in my home or the one I have right now.

5. I am really, really sick of human contact at the moment. Any thought of "getting away from it all" or visiting other people makes me physically ill. Plans for a trip to "get away" does include "getting away from ALL humans". Any suggestions???

I love Goodnightgram's post today.

Goodnightgram She's painting of course. ;0

Rental Agreement...

Turns out I was lucky enough to word my agreement that The Renter signed that they would move out when asked to move out, which means no court action is necessary and The Renter is trespassing if they don't move out when asked to move out. I actually worded it that when asked to move out they would move out, which means that they would actually have to move out the day they are asked to move out. Wow, very cool!!! I actually do not have to wait 30 days!!! Double cool!!! Nothing like vague language to get you every time.

OMG--doing a happy dance, now!!!

Have I written MOVE OUT enough yet??!!!! Wow, my two most favorite words!!!

Hey Renter!!! you need to MOVE OUT TODAY!!!

The Renter...Day 49...316...Notice day 29.

Last night I came home to a note regarding an item of mine that The Renter broke. I've had this item for over 20 years. There was no offer of replacement. Just a lousy note with "sorry" on it. I know that if I broke anything of The Renter's there would not only be an offer to replace it, I would replace what I broke as soon as possible and I would speak to them in person about the breakage. No ifs, ands or buts about it. It gets replaced.

I also know that if I need to move from a place that I am staying, I move. I get out immediately. I beg, borrow or barter and get out. There is NO REASON to stay in ANY situation that is unpleasant or unhealthy. I'd live in my car if I had to.

I just do not understand people. It makes me physically ill to even think about going home let alone go home.

LOL Cats...

Dumplin kim&sam...

Started Dumplin pattern last night. I needed something that was a brainless knit. This is a really quick knit and am using up all my leftover yarn from Kimmy & Samantha. I don't know how some people got two Dumplins out of the left over yarn but they did. They must be really tight knitters. I can't wait to felt it. I am going to put in a ring on one and then use a wooden spool on the other to link the straps together. and wrap left over yarn around the spool. Hopefully it will be as cute as I imagine it to be.

The Renter...Day 48..317...Notice day 30.

Again The Renter informs me after the fact that I'll be taking care of the neurotic dog. Wow! I think this is very rude.

And a 30 day notice begins today!!! I will be consulting with an attorney tomorrow to make certain everything is in order so that on Nov 18, I can move everything out of my home and put it on the front lawn that day and change the locks, just in case. I want to make certain that I do everything correctly and by the book. Boy, and do those snakes really smell! It will be a plus to not have them either, although I will admit they are pretty quiet.

Sammy & Kimmy...complete.

I finished Sammy. I felted her more than recommended and I am ok with this. I did loose cabling detail. She is still very big. approx. 12x20 and I did not do an inside pocket on her.

And here is both of them.

The Renter...Days 45,46,47...320,319,318.

The Renter...Day 45...320

The Renter unfortunately has the misguided conception that the world revolves around them. Weeks previously I had informed The Renter that they were to take the dog (that they like to ignore but love having power over--possibly more on this later regarding my opinion of this unusual but common subject) with them. As the dog is a neurotic insane mess!! A danger to herself and others but what do I know?? Friday rolls around and all is supposedly well. The Renter takes the dog for a walk in the early evening and then has the gall to high-tail it out of the house without so much as a "by your leave" or "hey, could you watch my dog for a little while? I need to be gone for about ____ (insert time-period here). NO, none of that is forthcoming. I inform The Renter that they forgot something. They inform me that they cannot take the dog with them. GEE, it certainly would have been nice to know this, but no, that's certainly not part of the deal. I didn't realize I needed to put "consideration and respect" in the rental agreement and I am NOT A BABYSITTING DOG WATCHER--THAT'S EXTRA!!!

uh,oh... I feel a stupid angry comment coming on.

I inform The Renter that if they do not take the dog with them that I will be taking it to the pound. (EEEK!!!! I hear you say. Would you really do it?? Yes, says I. I really am that stupid). Especially when the animal is dangerous. I do not normally recommend putting an animal down. There are exceptions to every rule and this happens to be one of them. This animal is dangerous. When an animal is afraid all the time like this one is, this is dangerous in any situation. Nuff said.

I actually do have a little bit of brains and decide to wait. What me???? Patience??? WOW, have I learned what a virtue it is and it is running way, WAY low in my corner!!! The insane neurotic dog decides to actually start throwing herself against the door. Oh, what a horrible sound this is. This is very unnerving and the cat and I jump every time she does this. I finally call The Renter and inform them that the dog is doing this and I called to let them know. All I need is for the dog to get hurt and then guess who gets the blame? The insane neurotic dog does this for a half hour. It's awful. The Renter walks in and picks up the dog.

It is a wonder that they couldn't have done this in the first place. I really didn't understand why the dog, who is happier to be with The Renter, couldn't wait in the car. But what to I know, heh??

The Renter...Day 46...319.
no issues. Other than making the suggestion they ask me to watch the dog BEFORE they leave not after.

The Renter...Day 47...318...
Turns out noon is 7:15pm, a phone call is obviously not an option for The Renter. This is good to know. Tomorrow a 30 day notice will be given. I have no more patience. I hope that the cat, the dog and I survive until Nov 18. I know The Renter will since the world revolves around them. I am looking forward to the new countdown!! BE WARNED AMERICA!!!! THE RENTER IS COMING TO A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR YOU!!! I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU!!! AND VERY, VERY HAPPY FOR MEEEEE!!!

22 Leaves. Sammy.

22 Leaves - I am now almost done with the 2nd clue on this shawl. This has been a challenging knit. It is difficult enough to keep my attention and not so difficult as to be frustrating. It's also nice to be back with my US4 needles again. Those 10.5 hurt my hands. I can't wait to get it finished and then Kool-aid dye it. I've been wanting to try dyeing again and I really like how the water goes from coloured to clear when its done and it only takes about 20 minutes.

Sammy is huge. I wonder if she's supposed to be this big. All that's left now are pockets and straps. I guess I will really have to felt this bag.

The Renter...Day 43...322.

no issues.

After Hours---FINI!!

Done. It's not blocked yet. I'm just pleased its finished. This is really a quick, easy knit. For some reason I just could not knit this very well. Must be the BIG needles I had to use. Yeah, I'm sure that was it. It just ended up being one of "those" patterns for me. You know the kind, the one you just have to knit, yet when you do you drop stitches, have too many stitches, don't have enough stitches, and it just seems to go all wrong each time you touch it. It's done and my after hours can be filled with drinking again. ha

The Renter...Day 42...323.

no issues. whiny, whiny, neurotic dog!

The Renter... Day 41...324.

no issues. The cat is still alive. Hurray! Here's what sweet Mix looks like now.
She is part Manx and had beat up a pit bull before. Hopefully she's too mean to die.

My Finished Kimmy...

Hurray!! The felting process was very interesting. I used Knit Picks 100% Andes Wool Bulky and it felted very quickly. It was also great to knit with.
The size of my bag before felting was approx. 18"x22" It was huge, gargantuan!
After the first wash it was 15" x 17" -still a little big.
After 2nd wash it came out at approximately 13"x15" - still big but I think its supposed to be that way. Instead of the knots in the straps I undid them and wrapped the straps. It's a much cleaner nicer look and I borrowed this idea from a co-KAl-er.

I am now diligently working on Sam and my After Hours shawl. AH needs to be done by Friday at noon to qualify for a prize. It takes 20-30 min to do one of the points on the border. And there are a lot of points. I am one-third done with the border points. ugh.

Softball...the end...

Last night was our last game and it was cold, windy and rainy. Brrr! The good thing is we had great weather the whole season except for last night and last night was still ok for it being fall and all. The last game was a terribly sad one for us. The other team was first to bat and got 11 runs in the first inning. At one point, they all started hitting left handed and started walking the bases. We were horrible.

Usually we aren't this bad. I don't know what the heck was wrong with us. We looked like the old black and white "field stone cops." I think that's the name. We dropped balls even when they were handed to us; we scrambled when there was no scrambling to do; we ran away from the ball; we couldn't find the ball when it was in front of our faces and at our feet. I think you get the picture. My best friend yelled out, "Hey Team United are you sure you don't need another beer!!" Too Funny! The umpires even started cheating for us. Calling people safe when they were out. Calling balls when it was a strike. We lost 16-5.

Most of the teams we played certainly should have been in the Gold or Silver league not Bronze. One girl's boyfriend who came to watch stated he had never laughed so hard at game before! On a positive note: I did get my first and only run of the season last night, Yeah ME!! DD got her's the week before! Yeah US!!

The Renter...Day 38,39,40...327,326,325...

No issues. The dog greeted me and the cat at the door the other day. Luckily I had a feeling not to let the cat in. Lots of times she darts in and there is nothing I can do to stop her.

16 months...

I usually don't mind getting older. I didn't mind turning 30 or 40, like some people I have seen. I don't believe I will mind 50 when I get there either. I actually enjoy growing older and feel that I get better in every way every year. I enjoy life and am constantly learning.

This month is different. This month is my birthday month and this is the month that I get to be older than my older brother, which greatly saddens me. My sadness is overwhelming. I know I am not the first to have to experience this and I know I won't be the last. I just don't want it to be me right now. I hate it and have essentially canceled this birthday this year, as much as that can be done.

I informed my guitar teacher that I was "feeling the blues" and why, and he stepped up to the plate and we are going with a "Blues" theme this month. I really like it and am having a terrific time with it. I just don't have any rhythm, which is important with playing the blues. I'll get it eventually. It will just take some time, like everything.

I miss you very much G.

The Renter...Day 37...328.

no issues.

Knitting...Kimmy felted bag

Here's a picture of Kimmy so far. She is approx. 18"x22" unfelted. I can't wait to felt her. This is my first felted bag. The 4th clue is out in this mystery knit along (KAL), and there are only a couple of things to complete to get her done. So exciting!

The Renter...Day 36...329.

no issues.

The Boy Friend thinks its ok to...

-Lie by Omission-depending on intent and sincerity;
-Have lunch with another woman and not tell me because he wants to keep it a secret;
-Send same woman a birthday card;
-Receive a thank you note from same woman and not let me read it;
-Flirt with same woman on a weekly basis on an online forum and inform me that he is tapering off his contact with same woman (yeah right).
-status on same forum is single. Yet, I thought we were in a relationship. Guess not.
-Insist on being invited to a family get together yet has no problem excluding me when it suits him and sees nothing wrong with his excluding me. And uses private confidences I have told him against me to exclude me, which makes it a double whammy of hurt.
-Try's to point out behavior that he has that I exhibit to prove that I am a hypocrite, which seriously demeans him and makes his behavior even more questionable.
-uses my words against me to twist their meaning into something else so he doesn't look so bad or they become more useful for him to harm me.
-Can't miss out on any fun even when seriously ill, which really puts a damper on the fun when you have to take him to Urgent Care because he is about to go into cardiac arrest because he didn't hydrate while giving himself food poisoning,even though he was informed not to drink that wine because it was too old. (yes, wine gets old and it doesn't keep for forever).

Ahem...ex boyfriend now for the 3rd and last time, and my intent is seriously sincere. Possibly more rants later. sorry in advance.

October's poem

here is a lovely poem from Romi.Poem

The Renter...Days 34, 35...331, 330 days left.

now The Renter thinks that they can't use the oven because of the electricity it will generate. Man!! I only dislike the use of it when it's 100 degrees out because it heats up the home and then my home doesn't cool off for two days. All I have ever asked regarding its use is just use it late in the evening when its summertime. We are now in fall and its a perfect time to cook with it. As to the electricity generate thing, I dislike when the lights or other things are left on and no one is in the room. Turn it off! Or unplug it!! I hate it when people use my words against me.

I don't know where I got the unplug thing, but I don't like things left plugged in. Of course, there is an exception to every rule and that is confusing I'm certain.

My Two Most Favorite People...

in the whole world. These two mean the world to me and though sometimes I disagree with them or dislike how they treat me I love them more everyday.

Saturday we had softball practice again and laughed so hard we cried. I think you're supposed to take things a little more serious than we do. It was so much fun! As I always say "its the little things" that mean so much. Later my mom informed me that signing DD and myself up for this little adventure was one of the best things I have done. interestingly enough, its really been good for all three of us. We've had a lot of fun with it.

For all you parents out there you really should make your kids participate in activities WITH you. Even if they get mad at you for doing it, truly they will LOVE it in the end. Its what they will remember the most whether you believe me or not.

The Renter...Days 31,32,33...334,333,332.

The Renter still likes to leave lights on and I noticed while The Renter was cooking breakfast this weekend they left their TV on in their room. Geez, who's watching?? Its not like the snakes need it and you can't even hear it in the kitchen. The kitchen is on the other side of the house. There is something about noise that people just have to have. Can't anyone shut stuff off or unplug things?? And what's wrong with unplugging things anyway? The Renter constantly makes fun of me regarding this habit of mine too. I'm getting a little tired of that.

The Renter...Day 30...335...

There were issues. There were lots of "so,so's" (God how I hate that word)and turning off of lights (guess who did that?). I think The Renter should just use a flashlight. So there,ha. Anyway The Renter put the whiny dog in their room and left. I finally text-ed stating "next time you leave take your whiny dog with you."

Rent signs get better looking every day. "Hey, you sexy rent sign you, what's your fee?"

So exactly what am I learning here???
That:
I have no patience, and what little patience I have is running very thin, and its only day 30;
I don't belong in any type of relationship, especially a close proximity type one;
I need to be more self-sufficient;
I need to be independently wealthy, which would benefit everyone.
