The Renter...Day 45...320
The Renter unfortunately has the misguided conception that the world revolves around them. Weeks previously I had informed The Renter that they were to take the dog (that they like to ignore but love having power over--possibly more on this later regarding my opinion of this unusual but common subject) with them. As the dog is a neurotic insane mess!! A danger to herself and others but what do I know?? Friday rolls around and all is supposedly well. The Renter takes the dog for a walk in the early evening and then has the gall to high-tail it out of the house without so much as a "by your leave" or "hey, could you watch my dog for a little while? I need to be gone for about ____ (insert time-period here). NO, none of that is forthcoming. I inform The Renter that they forgot something. They inform me that they cannot take the dog with them. GEE, it certainly would have been nice to know this, but no, that's certainly not part of the deal. I didn't realize I needed to put "consideration and respect" in the rental agreement and I am NOT A BABYSITTING DOG WATCHER--THAT'S EXTRA!!!
uh,oh... I feel a stupid angry comment coming on.
I inform The Renter that if they do not take the dog with them that I will be taking it to the pound. (EEEK!!!! I hear you say. Would you really do it?? Yes, says I. I really am that stupid). Especially when the animal is dangerous. I do not normally recommend putting an animal down. There are exceptions to every rule and this happens to be one of them. This animal is dangerous. When an animal is afraid all the time like this one is, this is dangerous in any situation. Nuff said.
I actually do have a little bit of brains and decide to wait. What me???? Patience??? WOW, have I learned what a virtue it is and it is running way, WAY low in my corner!!! The insane neurotic dog decides to actually start throwing herself against the door. Oh, what a horrible sound this is. This is very unnerving and the cat and I jump every time she does this. I finally call The Renter and inform them that the dog is doing this and I called to let them know. All I need is for the dog to get hurt and then guess who gets the blame? The insane neurotic dog does this for a half hour. It's awful. The Renter walks in and picks up the dog.
It is a wonder that they couldn't have done this in the first place. I really didn't understand why the dog, who is happier to be with The Renter, couldn't wait in the car. But what to I know, heh??
The Renter...Day 46...319.
no issues. Other than making the suggestion they ask me to watch the dog BEFORE they leave not after.
The Renter...Day 47...318...
Turns out noon is 7:15pm, a phone call is obviously not an option for The Renter. This is good to know. Tomorrow a 30 day notice will be given. I have no more patience. I hope that the cat, the dog and I survive until Nov 18. I know The Renter will since the world revolves around them. I am looking forward to the new countdown!! BE WARNED AMERICA!!!! THE RENTER IS COMING TO A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR YOU!!! I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU!!! AND VERY, VERY HAPPY FOR MEEEEE!!!
