NEVER...

...ever make someone a priority who only makes you an option.

I knew it was coming...it still stings.
nuff said.

Proverbs in a Year...Sept 30.

Proverbs 24:11-12

Saying 25

10 If you falter in a time of trouble,
how small is your strength!
11 Rescue those being led away to death;
hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
12 If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,”
does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it?
Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

I put verse 10 in so you could read the whole thing together.

I am impressed by these verses and Solomon seems to be pleading with all of us that we cannot claim ignorance when the facts are there in front of each of us.

Proverbs 2410

Saying 25

10 If you falter in a time of trouble,
how small is your strength!

This is only a portion of Saying 25. I like the verse and it makes one think. It makes me think about a time when so many things were going wrong for me that even DD noticed and asked how I kept going. As I recall, I think my reply was that I kept looking at the big picture and my troubles were very small compared to that(--or something close to that).

Proverbs 24:8-9

Saying 24

8 Whoever plots evil
will be known as a schemer.
9 The schemes of folly are sin,
and people detest a mocker.

Proverbs in a Year...Sept 27.

Proverbs 24:7

Saying 23

7 Wisdom is too high for fools;
in the assembly at the gate they must not open their mouths.

What does that mean??? I went to John Gills for a commentary and then this verse made a little more sense to me. You can agree or disagree for yourself.

thank you John Gill for the commentary link.
Grace to you, good day.

Proverbs in a Year...Sept 26.

Proverbs 24:5-6

Saying 22

5 The wise prevail through great power,
and those who have knowledge muster their strength.
6 Surely you need guidance to wage war,
and victory is won through many advisers.

Proverbs in a year...Sept 25.

Proverbs 24:3-4

Saying 21

3 By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
4 through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

This is one of my favorite Sayings so far, I enjoy how it encourages all of us to seek wisdom and its benefits. Most definitely a favorite.

Proverbs in a Year...Sept 24.

Proverbs 24:1-2

Saying 20

1 Do not envy the wicked,
do not desire their company;
2 for their hearts plot violence,
and their lips talk about making trouble.

Make good choices people and if it isn't right it isn't. Trust who you are and what you see and hear even if you cannot explain it. You know when you see wicked. You know when you hear wicked. Run away and count yourself lucky.

Proverbs in a Year...Sept 23.

Proverbs 23:29-35

Saying 19

29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow?
Who has strife? Who has complaints?
Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes?
30 Those who linger over wine,
who go to sample bowls of mixed wine.
31 Do not gaze at wine when it is red,
when it sparkles in the cup,
when it goes down smoothly!
32 In the end it bites like a snake
and poisons like a viper.
33 Your eyes will see strange sights,
and your mind will imagine confusing things.
34 You will be like one sleeping on the high seas,
lying on top of the rigging.
35 “They hit me,” you will say, “but I’m not hurt!
They beat me, but I don’t feel it!
When will I wake up
so I can find another drink?”

Words of warning to those who drink. Makes you think. I hope so.
This is the end of Chapter 23.

Hello...

I haven't felt much like posting lately. I have issues...health issues, head issues, and my issues have issues. Its all very boring; and mentally and physically draining.

On a positive note, we have a new baby coming into the family--a cousin. Its all very exciting and mom and DD have gone all out and made a cute little bassinet all out of baby items. Its pretty coolio and Kasey and I walked over last night when they had the front axle and front wheels done---made out of baby wash cloths and disposable diapers.

Both mom and DD were cute and had to show the books they bought and each had to read their book that they chose to me. It put a lovely smile on my face and I suppose this will be one of those unforgettable special memories that I will keep in my mind to bring a smile to my face when feeling down.

Of Note: its interesting to me that when we are babies we are fascinated by our body parts and when we get old we are once again fascinated by our body parts, and then there are some who never quit being fascinated (you have to worry about those people tho---just sayin).

For now I feel I must catch up on the "Proverbs in a Year" series before the year is over.

Toodle-loo,
