Resonate - to reinforce oscillations because the natural frequency of the device is the same as the frequency of the source. - definition from Dictionary.com
I like the above definition---some key words that I like: oscillations, natural frequency, device, source. I looked up oscillating too---it means an act or movement in one direction of an oscillating body. I just love words and their definitions.
I recently went to the movies with DD and watched "Cloud Atlas." I liked it. I found it to be profound, breathtaking cinematography, wonderful special effects, an interesting viewpoint, etc. I won't continue with my diatribe as to bore you would be the outcome.
Ang Lee is the director and an excellent one. I also have Sense and Sensibility, which I adore and he directed as well. Thank you Ang Lee for another wonderful movie.
The main point (it is singular as that is my intent) I obtained from watching the movie was "acts of kindness resound throughout time --- and we will never truly know how many people are affected by one act of kindness." In turn, "acts of hatred resound throughout time --- and we will never know how many people are affected by one act of hatred."
I like that the positive and negative are both represented in this movie; given equal time; equal consequence; and makes one truly think about each moment in one's lifetime. The movie also presents a sub-plot about: "why do we always keep repeating the past?" "why haven't we learned anything?" "why do we keep doing the same things over and over again?"
I have always enjoyed history, because with understanding the past one can look to the future. My belief is you must understand your past to move forward.
Who have you chosen to love or hate today? How has that affected them and their future as well as your own? Do you keep repeating your mistakes? and why?
Think about it.
Good day.
